For Barbara Nixon’s class, a few friends and I were given an opportunity to create a Viral Video and put it on YouTube. We did a little parody of of PRSSA where four friends are sitting around discussing the benefits of being a member of PRSSA and PRSA. They all give great ideas for how it is benificial for one’s time in college, as well as being a great addition to a resume. Throughout the video though, Jeremy (Me) basically downs the entire organization and anyone who is a part of it. But at the end of the video I have a sudden change of heart and decide to join. It’s kind of corny but funny at the same time.
In order to make it come up on other searches, we tagged the video with words such as PRSSA, PRSA, Georgia Southern University, Public Relations, etc. Check it out…
Love the video- you and Emily have great acting skills and I don’t think mine are so bad either. I think this video is really funny but it could be informative to someone looking to join PRSSA or its they are not sure if it sounds like something they want to do. I have to say that the PRSSA conference has been my favorite part of being involved because we got to hear from professionals in a wide variety of PR industries. I was very much interested in the entertainment side of public relations and with all the other seminars I realized that non-profit and event planning are really interesting as well! Great video!

So I absolutely love your viral video! How did you come up with such a great idea! Who is that extremely smart individual in the green shirt that loves PRSSA! HAHA just kidding. On a serious note though it was really fun working with you on the viral video. I would like to comment as well another special thanks to Marilyn Lintel and Emily Roper for helping us out on the video. We could not have done it with you guys. To Watruba I know if you were not about to graduate you really would go join PRSSA since we were so good at convincing you!
Hey Jeremy,
I really enjoyed this post your viral video. Your parody about PRSSA was really funny and it looked like yall enjoyed making it. I thought that you did a good job downing PRSSA throughout the video. My group did ours for the Communication Arts department and had a really fun time making ours. I think that a viral video is kind-of hard to sit down and script. I think that the best viral videos are the one that are about people doing things that are spontaneous like the Charlie bit me video or the David at the dentist video..

Great video Jeremy. Who knew you could be such a fantastic actor! You should have joined PRSSA so you could have gone to San Diego with us last November. It was so much, although you would have been the only boy from Georgia Southern. There were plenty of guys at the conference though. The video is pretty funny. Since I am VP of PRSSA, we do have a lot more events in the Spring, than we do in the fall. We have Relay for Life and Scoop Night at Brusters. Brusters actually let us work inside taking orders and taking care of the drive through!
